Una enseñanza de qué es la investigación, qué es un hallazgo y cómo son los diseñadores los que leen donde parece que no hay nada interesante y transforman esos hallazgos en soluciones.</p>

<p style="font-size: 20px;font-family: Montserrat,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,Segoe UI,Roboto,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;margin-bottom: 20px">Cuenta esta historia que al comienzo de la segunda guerra mundial la marina británica se encontró con un problema muy grave, que no sabía cómo resolver. Los alemanes habían minado el Mar del Norte, con minas flotantes de alto poder destructivo. Las tripulaciones de sus barcos de guerra conseguían divisar las minas, pero no siempre a tiempo para esquivarlas: cambiar el rumbo de un gran navío es algo lento y muchas veces la explosión se hacía inevitable. </p>
<p style="font-size: 20px;font-family: Montserrat,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,Segoe UI,Roboto,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;margin-bottom: 20px">El radar era una tecnología incipiente, de gran tamaño e instalada en tierra, el sonar no detecta ese tipo de objetos y la óptica tampoco proveía una solución, por lo que la Royal Navy convocó a la Ópera de Londres a todo el que tuviera alguna idea para proponer. En un estilo muy británico se fijó un reglamento en el que cada persona tenía tres minutos, podía decir lo que quisiera y estaba prohibido interrumpirlo. Un secretario de la marina británica tomaba nota de todas las ideas, que serían analizadas luego de finalizada la instancia. </p>
<p style="font-size: 20px;font-family: Montserrat,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,Segoe UI,Roboto,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;margin-bottom: 20px">La ópera se llenó de bote a bote, y se respiraba la tensión, los oradores y las ideas se sucedían uno tras otro sin proponer ninguna que tuviera chances de ser la solución, hasta que una señora, muy viejita y arrugada, subió a la tribuna sobre el escenario y dijo algo como lo siguiente: </p>
<p class="cita" style="font-size: 20px;font-family: Montserrat,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,Segoe UI,Roboto,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;margin-bottom: 20px"><em>Creo que los marinos de la Royal Navy son muy muy valientes, pero además son jóvenes y muy fuertes, por lo que estoy segura que si suben todos a cubierta, se juntan sobre la borda y soplan con todas sus fuerzas, la mina se alejará del barco. </em></p>
<p style="font-size: 20px;font-family: Montserrat,-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,Segoe UI,Roboto,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;margin-bottom: 20px">Esa fue la solución elegida: colocaron en los barcos cañones de aire comprimido. </p>
