Subject: gnumed-client: recommends ginkgocadx, ntp and gtklp which are not =
in unstable
Package: gnumed-client
Version: 1.8.23+dfsg-1
Usertags: package-relations package-relations-recommends
Severity: wishlist

Dear maintainer(s),

I noticed that package gnumed-client recommends ginkgocadx, ntp and
gtklp, which are currently not available in unstable.

See:

- https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/ginkgocadx : was removed in 2021
- https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/ntp : was removed in 2022
- https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/gtklp : was removed in 2025-12

For ntp, a possible solution is to the same that dovecot did:
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/dovecot/-/commit/812f0ea434b313d25aa9177ec2=
e1805e42649d5f
: to have "systemd-timesyncd | time-daemon". See
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=3D1118232 for more
information.

Would it make sense to remove or update them?

Thank you for your time,

PS[0]: I am developing a tool to detect such issues:
https://salsa.debian.org/carlespina/check-relations . Reports are
manually reviewed before submission. If you would prefer not to receive
such reports (for specific packages, all of your maintained packages,
etc.), please let me know. Any other feedback is welcomed as well.
