please do at least a minimal amount of debugging, like looking at the 
error messages, before claiming two bugs would be the same.

In the autopkgtest logs related at the time of this bug I am seeing 
various issues related to the HDF5 transition, including #1147167.
There was also a maintainer upload with test related fixes.

The new bug (#1148945) looks quite different.

If you think your testing proves that the old bug is still present,
then this only proves that your testing is crap.
