I'm having a similar issue - the Windows Administrator didn't like that 
the fusion inventory agent consumed 26Mb of RAM when running as a service, 
so he set it up to run at agent installation, system startup, and once a 
day thereafter. After the initial install, the agent checked in, but it 
has not checked in for the past 3 days. How can we get the Windows agent 
to report in on a regular schedule?

Hello Chris,

I believe the best solution in your case it to create an entry in Windows
"Scheduled Tasks".

The Windows installer is generated with NSIS. If you want to look further,
the NSIS files
are here :http://prebuilt.fusioninventory.org/devel/2.2.x/windows-i386/

I think we should suggest 2 options:
 - install and enable the service
 - create a ?Scheduled Task? (in this case we install the service but
disable in)

This do the trick on my Windows XP computer.
schtasks /Create /TN FusionInventory-Agent /TR "\"c:\program
files\FusionInventory-Agent\perl\bin\perl.exe\" \"c:\Program
files\FusionInventory-Agent\perl\bin\fusioninventory-agent"" /RU SYSTEM /SC
DAILY

It would be interesting to know if it's also the case on 7 and Vista.

Sadly schtasks is not supported on Win2000. We can still use at.exe instead
as a
workaround solution or maybe a NSIS plugin already exists for that.

   As you know, these days I can not realize tests with FusionInventory
for GLPI v0.80+1.1 (nowadays in Beta2) but I ask myself if there is
anybody than is testing v0.80+1.1 could to do this test for me. (I think
it's an easy test) ;)

   Gon?ri, do you think that this malfunction is related with
FusionInventory for GLPI plugin and not with FusionInventory Agent?

possible to force the inventory in windows computers. This does not
happen if the computer is a GNU/Linux computer, with them you can force
an inventory from GLPI without any problem.

   I'm sorry, I have to apologize. After testing with other Windows
computers it seems everything is correctly and it is possible to force
the inventory with success also in these machines.

   I have repeated the successful test with a windows computer in
v0.80+1.1 in v0.80+1.0 for the same windows computer and doesn't work, I
get the message: "Impossible to communicate with agent!"

   The bug seems be in v0.80+1.0.

Thank you for your feedback Tomas. This is a good new. The bug will be fixed
with the next release. Maybe it's because the 0.80+1.1 will try to contact
first the
computer with the hostname instead of the IP addresses.

Can you replace this line:
            $re =~ s/^([^\.]+)\.(.+)/($1|\\*)/;
by this one:
            $re =~
s/^([^\.]+)/($1|\\*)/;
