minicomERROR; cannont write in to /etc/minicom/minirc.dfl

HI SIR/MADAM,
THIS IS GNANESWAR FROM BANGALORE AM TRY TO INSTALL MINICOM ON PC.AM
USING UBUNTU os.
THIS STEPS ARE AM TRIED
#] sudo apt-get install minicom
#]minicom -s -c on

after am getting one screen on that am choosing serial communication
instead of that am selecting SERIAL DEVICE ;( here am trying edit
/dev/ttyS4 Ihave done this successfully ) at finally am gong SAVE AS
WITH dfl it is showing error like  CANNOT WRITE TO
/etc/minicom/minirc.dfl  ,. what should i do for this existing the
error.

please help-out this error.
