Only the first is interesting, since the Microdowell is natively a  
serial device, with a USB to serial converter added to allow  
connection through a USB interface. In that case, we don't need the  
report descriptor.

The version is irrelevant, as long as the report descriptor is  
present. Since the HP is a serial device too, I don't use that one  
either.
