When I pull the USB cable from the UPS, I get two notifications of the nocomm-timer expired.  The first notification is in the proper sequence, the second notification occurs after 'commok' occurs. Seems somehow that upssched-cmd is getting a second nocomm-timer

 expired delayed.</div>
