My intended usage for libido was to use Ayatana indicators with
elementary's Wingpanel. The rest of elementary is being packaged,
however Wingpanel is hung up due to the indicator situation not being
good in Debian.

I think that the indicators can still be used by XFCE (and obviously
Wingpanel), however right now the packages are simply too old to be of
any use.

I recently tried to compile ido on Sid and it would not even work. I
think there needs to be work done upstream in ido to use native gtk
widgets instead of custom ubuntu ones before ido has a place in
Debian. So, I would actually support the removal at this point.
