I just got back from vacation and I didn't have a chance yet to think
much about it. It will probably be either:

make an interim release for 7.4.7, backport that to stretch, then go on
to 9.0.x

go to 9.0.x directly

In any case, I need to set up a new bacula installation at a client
soonish and would prefer to have 9.0.x ready for that.

You also asked about the jessie backport of 7.4.4. For me that ranges at
a priority lower than other things I had to do in the meantime, because
bacula-director 7.4.3 can backup a 7.4.4 fd without problems.
