I think it'd be much more useful to get some relaxation on post-release 
updates to the main archive.  This is what we've done in Ubuntu and it's 
worked very well.  It takes testing and coordination to get it done though.

We're just starting to gear up to push from 0.92 to 0.94 in our earlier 
releases.  We've got 0.92 in releases as much as a year and a half old.  It's 
not completely current, but still workable.

Additionally, Ubuntu Security has bee pushing the 0.94 point releases out for 
out current release in total after some testing.  

This is not the normal way to do things, but I think better than a useless 
package in the main archive and the useful packages stuffed of in some other 
place that's not available by default.

As klamav maintainer, I'd be glad to work on this in Debian too.  Volatile I'm 
not so interested in.
