Okay, done. I converted it to git-dpm and I hope I did everything
correct. The unstable branch contains the package content and I also
imported the .tar.xz via pristine-tar. So you should have everything you
need.
And a small heads up: while fixing split-tarball script I also told it
to create .xz files, hope that is okay. 0.98.1+dfsg.orig.tar.xz is
8.3MiB vs 12.5MiB for the .gz.

I did not not 'git-dpm tag' incase you want to change something before
uploading. It builds in wheezy armel & amd64. Tested via
|# clamdscan *rar
|…/clam-v2.rar: ClamAV-Test-File FOUND
|…/clam-v3.rar: ClamAV-Test-File FOUND

so it looks good :)
