[Pkg-clamav-devel] Inquiry about backport of bug fix: clamd (clamav-daemon) on Debian 7 seems to be suddenly leaking file descriptors

Do you know if the fix for this
  https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=824196
was ever ported back to the Deb7 package for clamav-daemon (0.99.2+dfsg-0+deb7u3)?

On my deb7 clamav+sendmail email relay, clamd got into trouble and then died early today. I raised per-process maxfiles (and verified the change) and the number of open files on my clamd keeps rising. lsof shows that it isn't letting go of temporary directories in /tmp. Eg:

clamd 4591 clamav *927u REG 254,0 2415 418903 /tmp/clamav-3f0e924000dce3f6a5a082c4a73a388d.tmp (deleted)

So maybe a closedir is missing somewhere? Odd that it would be triggered by (I'm guessing) a database update.

Thanks,

...Steve
