The partitions were encrypted several years ago. The oldest key

/etc/crypttab contains lines like

# <target name> <source device>                                         <key file>                                      <options>
datax		/dev/disk/by-uuid/53ad4bb4-941d-44f7-b370-e19efc77c58a	/usb/etc/53ad4bb4-941d-44f7-b370-e19efc77c58a	luks

I haven't introduced any custom keyscripts.
