[Pkg-electronics-devel] Bug#926577: eeschema: assert failed with more than one instance of hierarchical sheet

Package: kicad
Version: 5.0.2+dfsg1-1~bpo9+1
Severity: important

When I try to create more than one instance of a hierarchical sheet,
an assert fails. After hitting "continue", the same error appears again
and again. I gave up after 10 repetitions and hit stop to kill kicad,
losing any unsaved content.
This happens when creating a new hierarchical sheet and linking it to an
existing one by entering the same file name but also when duplicating an
existing sheet.
It seems like this bug has been fixed upstream in 5.1.0, see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad/+bug/1798930
