I found an open bug (#1008921) for Verilator, and added my
confirmation there (at least I hope my email goes through).

So I'd be happy to help out on Verilator.
I've worked with it for a while, and can do quite a bit of QA.
If that means you can help me "learn the basics", that would be great.
