fretsonfire: Python2 removal in sid/bullseye

what is the future of fretsonfire in Debian? the version we have in
the archive is from 2009 (!), and i could not find any signal of
recent development from upstream. Nor i could find a proper port to
python3 (the one that gets closer is fofix, but there's still quite a
lot of work to do:

Should we just remove the package from Debian, and wait for a better
port to be published?

I'd like to not wait a long time, so if i dont hear back within a week
with a good reason to keep the package in Debian, i'll file for its
removal.
