Debian GNOME 11 used PIpeWire for video as required by GNOME for
remote screen sharing on Wayland. By late 2022, most GNOME distros
have also enabled PipeWire as the default audio server. I recommend
that we do that for Debian 12.

Unfortunately, we can't use alternate dependencies because people
upgrading won't be switched to our recommended default. However,
PipeWire does implement the PulseAudio API and it seems unlikely for
typical users to have any need to attempt to disable PipeWire to use
pure PulseAudio instead.

If that is needed, PipeWire uses systemd user services. The Debian
wiki probably should be updated to show how to disable those services
and install the required PulseAudio packages instead. Or maybe someone
could create a Debian package to handle that instead.

Of course, it's not required for anyone to install gnome-core to use
GNOME on Debian. But at that point, you're on your own.
