This isn't a Debian package, please report Ubuntu issues to Ubuntu's 
support channels (bug tracking for Ubuntu is on Launchpad).

For what it's worth, en_GB.UTF-8 is working as expected for me on Debian 
systems, with today's date displayed as 27 Mar.
