Unfortunately killing g-s-c, which is sup= posed to allow the screensaver to reactivate, doesn=E2=80=99t fully =E2=80=9Cdi= sinhibit=E2=80=9D the screensaver: the traces show the inhibit is dropped, as does gnome-screensaver-command --query but the screensaver never kicks in again. To restore the usual behaviour = it is necessary to kill gnome-screensaver and restart it. I am using gnome-session 2.26.2-1.
