I have ISO-8859-15 as my charmap, not UTF-8. I set my real name as "Andr=E9 Wendt" with an accent over the ``e'' in users-admin. The name seems to be UTF-8-encoded in /etc/passwd. If I re-convert the file to ISO-8859-15, users-admin refuses to start. Thus, gnome-screensaver should use the same encoding/decoding mechanism as users-admin when reading /etc/passwd.
