A new upstream major release of GNOME Shell is available in 
experimental, and as usual, all GNOME Shell extensions will need updates 
to be compatible with the new version.

Upstream provides a migration guide here:

and there is some Debian-specific documentation here:

This particular extension seems to have been updated in upstream git, 
but not necessarily in a release yet.

When the rest of the necessary packages are ready and the release team 
gives the go-ahead to do the transition, bug reports like this one will 
be raised to serious. If extensions aren't compatible with the new GNOME 
Shell, they'll have to be removed from testing temporarily.
