I wanted to close them as soon as they are fixed in unstable. That's why I did
not use the closes term (or would it be marked "fixed in another branch" when
they are closed in an upload to stable? - I know, that an upload to experimental
marks bugs this way).

Yes, but upstream said, that the memory leak fix applies to gnupg >= 1.4.7. So
the patch might need to be adjusted for Etch (1.4.6 IIRC). I have to examine this.
