At first, thanks for taking the time to explain in detail. This give the
right hints. Actually, "gbp import-orig /path/to/orig.tar.*" was the
key as the uscan approach resulted in a different layout. I've updated
both repositories locally and will push after some more sanity checks
tonight. Future updates will way close to the upload then, and I hope
we'll have GnuPG 2.3.2 very soon as .1 has issues (nobody should be
surprised about such things in experimental :)

About the filtering, to throw in another opinion: I prefer to deviate
from upstream as little as possible, in general not at all. Even if
there are files that don't make sense at all in the Debian build
ecosystem. Notable exceptions are license issues, huge files that are
not really necessary, and files that disturb the build process - an in
such cases I'd rather repack the upstream tarball then.

Still, about the packages we're talking here: Breaking an established
process shouldn't just be done because of personal preferences, So I
will continue to maintain the repositories the way they currently are.

Kind regards,

    Christoph
