Hi guys!

There was a PDAL package up to Debian Bullseye
<https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/pdal>, and you are
listed as the former maintainers of it.

Then it fell out of maintenance and was no longer available as
Debian package since.

I need PDAL for my work, and an official Debian package would be
so convenient.
Also, Debian's CloudCompare
<https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/cloudcompare> no
longer supports LAS/LAZ files since the loss of PDAL.

I would like to understand why PDAL was removed in Debian
Bookworm:

Was it lack of time to keep it supported, or for technical
reasons, or for other reasons?

To save you typing, is there some public mailing
list/discussion about that, can you give me the link(s)?

Thanks for a short response & best regards
Christian Fuchs
