Package: gridengine-common
Version: 6.2-4
Severity: important

I'm attempting to install gridengine-common with a set of preseeded
information (none of which I'm necessarily happy with at the moment, but
I'll talk about that in future bug reports). When I attempt to install
the package, it hangs at this point:

    senpai:/root# aptitude install gridengine-common
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
    Reading extended state information
    Initializing package states... Done
The following NEW packages will be installed:
      gridengine-common
0 packages upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 13 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/352kB of archives. After unpacking 901kB will be used.

    Preconfiguring packages ...
    Selecting previously deselected package gridengine-common.

    Unpacking gridengine-common (from .../gridengine-common_6.2-4_all.deb) ...
    Processing triggers for man-db ...
    Setting up gridengine-common (6.2-4) ...
    GET shared/gridengineconfig

I can press 'enter' to get through this, but something has clearly gone
wrong by this point.  This is not cleared up by an 'aptitude purge';
indeed, to continue the cut-and-paste:

    X_LOADTEMPLATEFILE /var/lib/dpkg/info/ucf.templates ucf

Creating config file /etc/default/gridengine with new version

...and it hangs here as well.

I reached this point once before, and reinstalled the system in order to
start over. I don't really want to do so again, but will if it will help
debug.
