Seems like your system is affected by 542422, which was introduced in
dmsetup 2:1.02.36-1 and fixed in 2:1.02.36-2

Make sure that /dev/mapper/energy-root is the device itself and not a
symlink to some /dev/dm-X file.
If it's a symlink then run `echo change > /sys/block/dm-X/uevent' and
replace X with the real number to which the symlink links to.
