Grub no longer asks me which disk it should install on, and that's causing me problems.

I don't know if this is related to the fact that there are multiple /boot/efi directories, as you say, or not.

In my case, it installed on the Windows disk, and that disk failed... so I lost the Debian boot ;-(

In any case, regardless of whether there are multiple /boot/efi directories or not, I should be able to choose where to install Grub, just like before! This choice doesn't have to be automated, otherwise it causes crashes.
