Recall of using a DVCS for pkg-java

Hello everybody.
I won't point to you to the advantages of the DVCS such as git,
mercurial or bazaar here, i'm only willing to know if there is such an
initiative of migrating the team's repository to a distributed one.
I think that will work better and easier for us all.
Any questions are welcome.
