Alternatively, you're welcome to work directly in the team repo, if you have
sufficient confidence in your work

I added some autopkgtests from the Audio::MPD package in the hope that
they might be useful to test core functionality without building most of
the source. Let's see how that works out...

If you think everything is ready for a release, do run 'dch -r' as well so I
can just build / upload / tag the release without the need for another
commit

this would have been a prudent thing to do for buster :-/

I'd say let's see how the situation develops; I don't think Max will
keep the plugin around for long if there's no hope for getting things
back to a working state.
