One sees

SYNOPSIS
       mysql [options] db_name

but it turns out the command will run just fine without db_name. Mention
what is going on in this case. Even when one doesn't have a .my.cnf etc.

Please add a
FILES
section, wherein list all the .my.cnf etc. all in one place, in addition
to the current scattering all along the man page.
