More likely, the .run installer moved aside the libglx.so to replace it
with its own variant. Then you upgraded xorg, replacing it again with
the current xorg variant. Upon removal of the .run installer version the
old backup was restored.

There is not much that we can do on the nvidia-installer-cleanup side,
since there was no "unclean" removal.
