nvidia-* is part of the key package set

Hi Graham,

I just noticed that nvidia-modprobe is blocked because it is a key
package. No, I don't want it unblocked now. (Only if we decide to switch
the whole (non-tesla) driver stack to 530+).

But I got curious why it is a key package ... most likely due to this:

src:nvidia-settings/main builds
bin:libxnvctrl-dev/main (build-depended upon by several likely
(transitive) key packages)
bin:nvidia-settings/contrib (transitively depends on the driver etc.)

Would it help the release team if I split (well, duplicate) the source
package into one in main and one in contrib? We already have two copies
of the same source tarball, once as src:nvidia-settings, once as
src:nvidia-settings-tesla (at least most of the time while both drivers
are in sync in their major version).

From the nvidia side it would further unify the packaging of
src:nvidia-settings[-tesla*].

If that is desired, we could do it now or post bookworm.

Andreas
