Speaking as the guy who runs Raspbian I have no intention to deviate from Debian on this matter. Raspbian buster will have the same version of Lazarus as Debian buster.

Speaking as a Debian Developer, a member of the pascal team and a co-maintainer of the fpc package (but not the Lazarus package) I don't think that updating to Lazarus 2.0.0 at this time is in the spirit of the freeze policy for the current stage of the buster release process.</pre></blockquote><div>I find it a pity that our uses need to wait more than 3 years to get somethign else than 1.8 Lazarus.</div><div><br></div><div>Let's try to have 2.0 as there are many new features. If it happens there are new bugs, I can fix them myself.</div><div><pre>-- <br></pre><span style="font-family: monospace; white-space: pre;">Cheers,
