<p>I disagree (in my ignorance). If Lazarus has a dependency (and it
does) on libgtk2.0-dev then its Lazarus that should be marked as
having that dependency, not FPC.<br>

<p>We tell Lazarus users they must install libgtk2.0-dev before
building Lazarus here

<p>The same should apply to GTK2 based apps not using Lazarus (maybe
Castle Game Engine ?), if you want to use the GTK2 widget set,
