Hi Wouter,

that's a pretty vague report, so here are some questions:

Did you get errors during the upgrade? (Which?)
What's the output of pg_lsclusters now?
What's the (non-comment) content of /etc/postgresql/9.*/main/start.conf?
Is there anything in /var/log/postgresql/postgresql-9.*-main.log?
If there's no real indication in the log of why 9.1 doesn't start,
what does "sudo -u postgres /usr/lib/postgresql/9.1/bin/postgres -D
/var/lib/postgresql/9.1/main" say?
