Bug#764862: pulseaudio: global config files not updated on upgrade - result no sound on default output

Lukasz Miller lukanusm at gmail.com
Sat Oct 11 16:59:13 UTC 2014

Package: pulseaudio
Version: 5.0-6+b1
Severity: normal

I have noticed lack of of sound on the sink that I use as default.
While troubleshooting I have noticed that files in /etc/pulse differ in size
and dates from ones i found inside the deb file.
aptitude reinstall pulseaudio-... did not help.
My workaround was to copy the files manually from deb, wipe ~/.pulse directory
and restart desktop session.

Not sure if this bug should go here or to APT folks, if so apologies.
