<p>I verified this is still present with the current PulseAudio 17.0 Debian packaging.</p>
<p>Debian’s existing disable-autospawn.patch changes the libpulse client default from autospawn=true to autospawn=false, but the commented client.conf template still shows <code>; autospawn = yes</code> as the default.</p>
<p>Attached is an updated version of the existing quilt patch that also changes the template to <code>; autospawn = no</code> and records this bug in the patch metadata.</p>
<p>I tested the new hunk against the PulseAudio v17.0 <a href="http://client.conf.in">client.conf.in</a> template; it applies cleanly. The existing client-conf.c hunk is unchanged.</p>
<p>Feedback welcome. I’m also interested in continuing to help with PulseAudio packaging and maintenance.</p>
