<p>There was a limitation that I think you might mention at

<p>I tried to run openbox and lxde on the pi, and kept having my
mouse move, but clicks and keypresses do nothing. I hunted this
down for several hours, before realizing that the issue was really
all to do with the line I have made bold in the report below.</p>
<p>The cma=128MB (introduced via cmdline.txt) didn't really seem to
fix it either, but pushing gpu_mem=64 into the config.txt in
/boot/firmware seems to have given me at least partially stable
running of X.</p>
<p>I'm not expert, but my guess is that something's not quite there
with the video drivers, as the modes I'm using shouldn't really
need more than about 16MB of RAM. Anyway, the rather hacky
approach to ensure there was a pre-allocation of GPU memory seemed
needed to get lightdm/openbox/LXDE working. I'm working on a GPIO
issue now, so I'll let you know if I make progress there.<br>
