...in Debian 10 (same for i386 and amd64) puppet-agent stopped
working and throws errors like<br>

Error: /File[/var/lib/puppet/locales]: Failed to generate additional
resources using 'eval_generate': Failed to open TCP connection to
:<custom_puppet_server_port_here> (Connection refused -
connect(2) for "" port <custom_puppet_server_port_here>)<br>
<br>
Puppet server name is set correctly in /etc/puppet/puppet.conf but
empty in above error message.<br>
<br>
Downgrading both packages to 2.5.5-3+deb10u4 resolves this issue.<br>
