[Pkg-samba-maint] switch from compliled to debian package

Hi! 

 I have one question about the samba4 debian package in experimental.
Is it possible to upgrade a self compiled version of samba4 alpha14 to
the debian package in experimental?  

 The problem I have is that the file locations of my currently used
samba-version are under /usr/local/samba/. Installing the debian
package fails, because upgradeprovision cannot find the neccessary
files.  

 Do I have to copy the files of my installation to another location
to do a upgradeprovision to the debian package?
