Thanks for your report.

Did the panic happen only once (after the upgrade), or does it happen
regularly?

The part of the logfile you sent doesn't contain a backstrace of the panic.
It might be in some other samba logfile (in /var/log/samba). If there is a
backtrace, could you send it? You might need to install the samba-dbg package,
to have the relevant information in the backtrace.
