Sorry for not answering in due time to this bug report.

Is this consistently reproducible? Does it happen with more recent
versions (namely 3.6.3 at minimum as 3.6.4 and 3.6.5 are security
releases)?

To my fellow co-developers: is the trace reported in the bug log
containing enough information for someone to debug the issue or would
it need samba-dbg installed?
