This is a wrong fix.  These are not shlibs, they're DSOs, and lintian is
wrong to report this error for them.

Just because lintian wasn't caught up doesn't mean it's experimental.

Should we delete the other branches now as obsolete?

What else needs to be done yet before we upload?
