Please note that this mailinglist is about the packaging of Sugar for 
Debian.

Far better to discuss educational topics at the IAEP list upstream, 
where educators - not coders - gather.

Below I will respond only from the point of view of Debian packaging.

Creative Commons is a _collection_ of licenses, suitable for different 
purposes.  Unfortunately the general license issued for above referened 
books explicitly excludes commercial use, rendering it non-free by 
Debian logic.
