Please also install the libc6-dbg package.

Could you also check /var/log/auth.log if you get any messages from ConsoleKit.
Changing the pam config in common-* might help too, to get more debug output,
something like
session optional pam_ck_connector.so nox11 debug

If you are done debugging, you can safely deinstall the libpam-ck-connector
package, if it hinders your daily work.
