Sorry, but "apt-get install upgrade" sounds like a mixup between two<br>
apt-get subcommands.<br>

It's either "apt-get install some_package_name" or "apt-get upgrade".<br>

I assume, it's either the latter or you meant "apt-get install<br>
name_of_some_upgradable_package".<br>

Ok, so it was just upgrading a bunch of packages inside Debian 10<br>
Buster, like security updates, right?<br>

Please attach /var/log/dpkg.log /var/log/apt/*.log and (if existing)<br>
/var/log/aptitude<br>
<br>
This will show which packages changed recently and (to some extent)<br>
what happened due to the package upgrades. And in general it will<br>
hopefully help to figure out what exactly happened.<br>
<br>
P.S.: Currently it looks as if the need to change the interface name<br>
in wicd is just a followup issue. I'll reassign the bug report once we<br>
figured out, which package might have caused this issue.<br>
