Package: python-zmq
Version: 2.2.0-1
Severity: important

Python zeromq bindings are a release by the same author as zeromq itself.
The latest zeromq (3.2.2) is backward compatible with older zeromq (2.x),
and fixes many severe problems in the older versions. However, the current
python-zmq package is not built against the newer zeromq library so it is
not available to python applications.

python-zmq is compatible with older and newer versions of zeromq, all that
is required is to install the newer version of zeromq ("libzmq3) into your
build environment.
