No I'm not. As the other Epson printer is connected to the USB port I did not 
think it would cause problems. Your suggestion sounds highly reasonable 
though.

Thanks for this ! I will check asap. Unfortunately I am not physically in 
front of the machine, its my mum's at the other end of the country. :(

I have no experience with SCSI, any pointers ?
