I did once hear from a fi-5900 user that he saw the windows driver
clear a jam by doing something funny with the rollers. He was unable
to reproduce, and one of my contacts at fujitsu had never heard of
this. Now, that said, there is something you could try: --df-action

For most machines this seems to just cause the machine to plow ahead
and ignore the df. Perhaps on this newer models it does some other
magic?
