[sane-devel] I/O Errors with hp 7400c

Another experiment with hp 7400c:

On a very recent Fedora live system, the scanner could be found and started scanning, but threw the I/O error as well. However, the machine's USB bus was not blocked, I could countinue working.
Is it true, that this very much looks like a more kernel related issue?
